The equation is thus:
Charlie & Arielle = quality.
Here on the Archive as in life.
There are a couple of Drum solos throughout the show - not where one would expect; however, as the uploaders of all these sources didn't feel it necessary to make note of them, I'll leave them hidden as well!
Hearing the first two tracks really makes me miss Alphonso in the line-up. I think the most recent incarnation has been the best overall, but hearing AJ solo (on this You're the One, for instance) makes me nostalgic.
Highlights are a strong Hillbillies to close out the 1st set (the second "Franklin's Tower" breakdown is particularly noteworthy), Mitch's solo in Electric Wildlife, High & Lonesome (slower tempo than performed on the most recent SKB tour which brings out the lilting quality of the prelude section), and a jaw-dropping Ice Cream. Probably the solo of the show, in terms of Steve, happens in this last composition.
Overall, pretty middle of the road show for this time period.
Playing = B. Sound = A.

Thank you Charlie! Summer 2002 will always be one of my favorite periods for SKB. So many fresh tunes were being worked out and the staple Kimock tunes were played with so much energy. Steve was just on FIRE that whole summer....some of the best versions of IU2U, Tangled, and Cole's Law that have ever been played. IU2U from the Sunshine Daydream Festival later in July will always be my favorite....Steve was SMOKIN' HOT!
This show is just amazing. Get it now and enjoy the fabulous sounds!
